The Reading Sessions 2012

17 October 2012

five.point.one would like to thank everyone involved in our very first Reading Sessions.

With 13 playwrights, 14 plays and over 60 artists involved, it was a huge success and we are overjoyed at the high calibre of new Aussie plays out there.

The Reading Sessions served to not only show us and the Adelaide community what wonderful writers we have in this country, but also as a way for Adelaide actors and directors to create new professional networks.

We're very excited by the outcome of the 14 day event, and will be announcing our 2013 season shortly.

Again, thanks to all the writers, directors, actors and audience who made this a most enjoyable season of readings.

Vale dear Cass

25 October 2011

Yesterday, five.point.one and the Adelaide theatre community lost a very dear friend and collaborator.

Cass designed all of our main stage productions and the company will miss her deeply. Cass was an exceptionally talented and generous person who gave so much to so many in the community.

We are blessed to have worked so closely with her. We simply could not have achieved all that we have in the last three years without Cass. She was a dear friend to us all.

Her memory will live on in all that we do into the future. Our love and thoughts go to her partner Ben Flett at this very sad time.

Vale dear Cass

Pozible fundraiser

31 May 2011

Raising two thousand dollars in seventy days...
Should be easy enough? We certainly hope so.

five.point.one is raising funds for our next show That Face by Polly Stenham and we need your help to spread the word.

We've set up a project on the crowdfunding site Pozzible. Tell your friends, your brothers, your mothers, the guy you buy your coffee from. People can donate as little or as much as they want, and every donation receives recognition.

It's an easy way to get that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you know you've helped make something great.

Stay tuned for regular updates to see how we go...
